If you register with FP Garnet as a client, buy our goods or subscribe to our newsletter, we become the controller of your data in accordance with the Law on Processing Personal Data No. 110/2019 Coll.

What sort of data can we process?  

  • data which you knowingly and voluntarily submit for the purposes of concluding a contract of sale with our company

  • data necessary for processing a defective goods notice 

  • your transactional history with our company 

  • our communication 

  • other data which you voluntarily submit in the course of communication about your orders, including data about third parties (e.g. about people who will receive our jewellery as a gift).

What can we use your data for? 

  • accepting and processing orders, invoicing 

  • fulfilling the obligations flowing from any contracts concluded between us

  • protecting our contractual rights and legitimate interests  

  • fulfilling our legal duties, especially in relation to fiscal authorities

  • processing defective goods notices 

  • direct marketing including emails about our news, discounts or marketing events, if you consent to receiving these 

Can we ever share your data with third parties?  

Your data will never be sent outside the European Economic Community. 

Your data can only be shared with third parties in the following cases:

  • if we have a legal duty to share them (e.g. in the context of cooperating with governmental bodies or courts, or for the purposes of accounting)
  • if it is necessary for the protection of our contractual rights or legitimate interests (e.g. consulting with a lawyer)
  • if it is necessary for the fulfillment of our legal obligations (e.g. giving your address to the delivery company) 

For how long will we keep your data? 

We will only store the data necessary for direct marketing for as long as you agree with this. If you inform us that you no longer wish to receive marketing emails from us, we will process your request without undue delay. 

Data necessary for tax and accounting will be stored for the period determined by applicable laws. At the moment this period is 10 years from the end of accounting period.

Data necessary for the eventual protection and enforcement of our legal rights and legitimate interests may be stored up until the end of our operations. You do have the right to protest against this, in which case we will delete your data unless there exist serious legitimate reasons for not doing so.

What rights do you have in relation to the stored data? 

  • The right to be informed about how your data is being processed and stored 

  • The right to access your personal data, including the right to have a copy of your data, and to have it transferred to a different controller

  • The right to correction of personal data 

  • The right to have your personal data deleted from our database (if you no longer wish to receive marketing emails or if the period during which the storage of your data is necessary has elapsed)

  • The right to contact the Office for Personal Data Protection with a complaint (www.uoou.cz).
