These statement gold earrings are a celebration of garnet. The stone is held with two V-shaped prongs which fix it firmly without distracting the beholder's eye from the exquisite marquise shape, the checker cut and the deep red colour. The drop shape, known also as the pear shape, is one of the most popular gemstone cuts. It gives elegance and delicacy to the larger jewels and sophistication to the smaller ones. In case of rings, there is an added bonus: a drop-shaped ring worn with its pointed end away from the wearer optically elongates the fingers.
