Gold ring, garnet
A modern gold ring with a row of four octagone garnets. Average weight 4.41 g.
This design is a bit of a maverick. Our team has of yet been unable to agree what it reminds us of. Some have said that the two golden circlets look like a growing moon crescent. Viewed from the side, the ring looks like an open oyster holding a dark gem - or maybe a jewellery box holding a treasure? It is a mystery. Either way, we do wholeheartedly recommend this ring: it is fascinating. Average weight 2.01 g.

Weighing mere 0.94 g, this is the lightest gold ring in our collection. With its extremely delicate band and the amount of craftsmanship that goes into hand-setting the miniature garnets, this is truly a marvelous example of goldsmithing skill.
